Hilton Curio Collection Buys The Woodlands Resort

Hi friends. If you live in The Woodlands then you have probably heard of The Woodlands Resort, and maybe even been there for a fun stay-cation, and if you're not from the area you most definitely should check it out. Just recently it's been announced that The Woodlands Resort was bought by The Hilton & be joining their Curio Collection, which will allow it to keep its individuality while also being able to take advantage of the global Hilton brand.

A majority of this investment will go to some amazing upgrades to The Woodlands Resort. The 10,000 square foot spa which will get a major makeover, as well as an expansion of the fitness facility, a new lobby bar with gourmet grab-and-go goodies & a specialty market, and upgrades to the 3,000 square foot Forest Deck outdoor event space that overlooks scenic Lake Harrison. Its said that these updates will be starting next Spring and be complete in 2023. Along with this purchase of The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection also acquired Embassy Suites by Hilton & The Westin at The Woodlands, which will be seeing minor upgrades like bedding & carpet changes.

“The nice thing about having that reach outside of The Woodlands and in the Houston area is you have access to 82 million Hilton Honors members...and I think that's a very powerful, driving factor that should help occupancy post-pandemic.” - Gregg Harbor, area general manager for Lowe subsidiary CoralTree Hospitality, which manages the three hotels being purchased. He also said that being part of the Hilton network should help in hiring more employees.

Located in the heart of The Woodlands and only 30 minutes from Houston, The Woodlands Resort is easily accessible yet will make you feel worlds away. This fabulous resort has much to offer including a lavish pool area with waterpark features & a lazy river, private cabana rentals, luxurious suites, 3 on-site restaurants, 2 golf courses & golf performance center, state of the art tennis center with a pro shop, an arcade, conference centers, a spa, and much more to relish in.
