Hi friend. The Woodlands is always having so many fun events all throughout the year, so today I wanted to talk about the events that'll be taking place this December that you and your family can enjoy. Some are holiday themed & others are just cool events going on!
Christmas Wreath Workshop | LINK
Piney Rose Floral will be having a Christmas wreath workshop where you'll get to learn how to create your own wreath to take home. They'll provide all the materials you'll need & help you with every step. Spaces are limited & go fast, so be sure to purchase your tickets through the link above.
Date: December 1st, 2021. From 5:30pm - 7pm.
Goose's Acre Live Acoustic Music | LINK
Every Wednesday night from now through February you can enjoy soothing acoustic music played by the talented Philip Smith. He'll be performing on the upstairs patio so you'll have a beautiful view of the waterway while listening to the great music. The food at Goose's Acre is amazing, as well as the drinks, you just can't go wrong here.
Dates: Every Wednesday starting at 6pm.
Holly Jolly Jingle | LINK
The Cynthia Woods-Mitchel Pavilion is having their annual Holly Jolly Jingle where you can hear your favorite Christmas songs performed by The Woodlands High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, Oak Ridge High School and Grand Oaks High School. The gates will open an hour before the show starts so children can enjoy holiday arts & crafts, take pics with Santa, visit with the Grinch & Cindy Lou Who, and see pre-concert performances by local schools in the plazas.
Date: December 2nd, 2021. Gates open at 6pm & the actual performance starts at 7pm.
Santa at Piney Rose | LINK
Piney Rose Floral & Decor is such a gorgeous shop filled will a variety of goodies, as well as lovely flowers. It's the perfect place to get tons of Christmas gift shopping done, and the kids will be thoroughly entertained while you shop since Santa will be there. They can get pictures with Santa & visit with him while you peruse all of the beautiful things there.
Date: December 20th, 2021. From 2pm - 4pm.
Mrs. Claus' Gingerbread House Workshop | LINK
Mrs. Claus will be coming to The Woodlands Children's Museum to show the kids how to make a gingerbread house. They'll get to visit with Mrs. Claus, listen to Christmas stories, and build their very own gingerbread house to take home.
Dates: December 14th & 17th, 2021. From 10am - 3pm.
Santa's Morning Jingle | LINK
This is another great event happening at The Woodlands Children's Museum. This time the kids will get to meet & take pictures with Santa that'll be framed to take home, meet Santa's reindeer, listen to live Christmas music, have breakfast with Santa, meet Olaf from Frozen, do holiday arts & crafts, play with snow, get treat from the candy bar, and take home a Santa's workshop gift bag.
Date: December 11th, 2021. From 8am - 11am.
Market Street Sing Off | LINK
Four local music groups will be performing Christmas music in front of judges on the green space in the center of Market Street, with the winner getting a $500 gift. You'll definitely want to bring some blankets & lawn chairs and get a good spot for the performance. There's many amazing restaurants in Market Street if you want to get dinner first or pick up food to-go & bring it to the performance.
Date: December 9th, 2021. From 7pm - 8:30pm.
The Woodlands Cars & Coffee for a Cause | LINK
Cars & Coffee is a well known & loved event that takes place on varying Sundays. Get to Market Street extra early to admire some truly amazing cars, both new & vintage, and take in the festive surroundings & crisp weather. Make sure you stop at Starbucks while you're there so you have a coffee to keep you warm while you're walking around.
December 5th, 2021. From 7am - 10am.
Holiday Movies at The Lawn | LINK
The Woodlands Mall has a great lawn where they do outdoor movie showings on a massive screen throughout the year. During the month of December they'll be showing Christmas movies to get everyone in the holiday spirit, the kids are sure to love an experience like this. It's completely free & everyone is encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and whatever makes you comfortable.
- Polar Express: December 4th, 2021. From 5pm - 7pm.
- Elf: December 11th, 2021. From 5pm - 7pm
Goat Yoga | LINK
The Woodlands Resort is doing a special package where you get one night's accommodation, 2 goat yoga sessions, and a $50 credit for food & drinks. Not many people can say they've done yoga with tiny goats, it's definitely a one of a kind experience.
Date: December 4th, 2021. One class at 8:30am & one at 9:45am.
Sunset & S'mores | LINK
Texas TreeVentures is a super cool areal obstacle course in the trees with so much to do & different levels based on what you're comfortable with. They'll be having their Sunset & S'mores event where you can enjoy the fun obstacle courses and when it starts getting darker you'll sit around a campfire & make delicious s'mores while being surrounded by towering trees.
Date: December 3rd, 2021. Starting at 4pm.
Live on The Lawn | LINK
Head to Market Street for live acoustic music on the lawn in front of Tommy Bahama's, it's completely free & super fun for the kids since they'll get to run around in the green space by the massive Christmas tree. There's different artists each week playing family friendly music in a variety of styles. You can bring blankets & lawn chairs to sit, or just enjoy the music while walking around and shopping or eating one of the many restaurant patios.
Dates: Every Friday starting at 6:30pm.
